Greetings, CDWC17 attendees!

Here are a few stats about the attendees at this conference:

  • 58% were attending their 2nd or 3rd California Dreamin’ conference, and 10% were attending their first writing conference ever!
  • 72% were members of the 4 SoCal host chapters, 16% were not (yet) RWA members, and 12% were either not a SoCal chapter member or not a member of any chapter.
  • 33% currently have an author newsletter.
  • 37% are traditionally published, 33% are self-published, 26% are e-published, and 43% are not yet published.
  • The largest genre represented by our attendees was Contemporary (23%), followed by Historical (12%), Paranormal (8%), Young Adult (8%) and Suspense (7%).
  • The most important elements to our attendees (at the time of registration) were workshops, keynote speakers, book camp, and networking (in that order).
