Actors find improvisation a necessary skill. For writers, improv is a way to free the brain for new ideas. The most important rule in improv is “Yes, and . . .”.  Follow that rule and keep your inner critic at bay.

This fast-paced, interactive workshop will cover the basic rules of improv, with suggestions for adapting them for our use in writing. A warm up and exercises will take participants through different modes of thinking, switching instantly between modes to access intuitive thinking. The emphasis will be on having fun, avoiding the hesitation bound up with worry about being judged, and keeping the flow going.
